Our Mission

Parents of Angels is a 501(c)3 dedicated to educating, supporting, and encouraging parents of premature babies and families who have experienced the loss of a child. We assist families in need with baby items, household essentials, food, and emotional support, and provide educational, emotional, and spiritual grief support to help bereaved parents cope with the loss of their child. We also offer financial assistance for burial or cremation arrangements for families who have lost a child from stillbirth through age 18.

Our Vision

To unite families of premature babies and bereaved parents, giving voice to our angels and honoring their lives. We recognize the strength, resilience, and love carried by parents whose children now live on in their hearts. Through compassion and community, we guide families toward healing — knowing they are forever watched over by their angels.

Letter from the Founder

Tarsheka Barton

Founder & CEO

Parents of Angels, Inc.

Dear Parent,

If you have found your way here, chances are your heart has been touched by a journey you never expected to take.

My name is Tarsheka Barton, and before I became the founder of Parents of Angels, I was simply a mother hoping and praying for my children.

When my identical twin boys, Darrell and Dylan, were born prematurely at just 25 weeks, our lives changed forever. Every day in the NICU brought both hope and uncertainty. We celebrated every ounce gained, every milestone reached, and every moment we were blessed to spend with them.

While Darrell continued to grow stronger, Dylan faced challenges that no child should have to endure. At just five weeks old, Dylan passed away due to complications from necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Losing him changed my life forever.

Grief is a journey that cannot be explained in words alone. It is a journey that changes you, yet it also reveals a strength you never knew you possessed. Through my faith in God, the love of my family, and the comfort He provided, I slowly began to heal.

As I looked around, I realized there were countless parents walking similar journeys — many feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn. Some were grieving the loss of a child. Others were navigating the fear and uncertainty of having a premature baby in the NICU. I knew God was calling me to create a place where those families could find compassion, practical support, and hope.

That calling became Parents of Angels, Inc.

Today, our organization is dedicated to walking beside families through life's most difficult moments. Whether providing grief support, helping families with infant essentials, assisting with memorial needs, offering community resources, or simply listening without judgment, we want every family to know they are not alone.

Parents of Angels exists because every child deserves to be remembered, every family's story deserves to be honored, and every parent deserves to be surrounded by compassion, understanding, and hope.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

With love, hope, and remembrance,

Tarsheka Barton
